  • Now we removed some old replacement panels that will be reused as they were a good fit but in need of welding. The inner fenders will be fixed up properly as well and reattached.

  • The outer edges of the trunk area including the extensions will be replaced so while we have access to the rear frame rails they were cleaned and sprayed in POR. We also sprayed everywhere else we could reach with the gun.

  • After proper prep we sprayed the trunk patch panels, the new gas tank supports and the front floor braces. Now that they have POR on the undersides they can be installed. The POR company doesn't pay me to endorse them, but they should! POR is a great product that does exactly what it claims.

  • These pictures are from the original set taken by Dana, they show the rot between the floor and quarter. It would be a shame to remove and toss out a good quarter panel just because of this little bit of rust.

  • Naturally, no one makes any piece like this so we will make our own. Here in the rough form and welded in they look good and are plenty strong. Now some finish grinding and they will be better than original.
