  • We usted studs to hold the panel tight during the welding process. Welding these takes patience, spot weld back and forth across the entire panel to minumize warping.

  • Next we ground down the seam and filled in the area.

  • Low on the cowl area there was some bads spots that needed replacing.

  • They do not make patches for this so again, just a bit of bending and cutting.

  • There are 2 layers that had rotted out so we did them one at a time.

  • Now back to the trunk, we cut the corner round and welded the edge. Then ground down to fit.

  • The left side of the lower trunk lid had rust holes and a section had to be replaced.

  • After cutting away the area we did POR the rust.

  • New patch cut and welded in.

  • Here is some floor rot that needed to be fixed.

  • A brace was drilled out and removed, then two layers of metal were cut away.

  • I used a thicker metal for the patch as this area needs good support.

  • Finished and primed.

  • Another patch on the floor, this was the last bad spot.

  • The lower fenders needed patching as well, easy fix.

  • I made the patch to fit before removing the bad area.

  • Cut away and spray with weld friendly prime.
